Tangrams
- Form a given animal or object with geometric shapes. Puzzle. |
Polygon
Playground - Explore symmetry, tessellations, and
much more by dragging polygons to create what ever you want:
houses, animals, boats, etc. |
Shape
Creator - An exploration of the concept of shapes,
rotate & flip. Create your own design using the geometric
shapes in the tool. |
Pattern
Blocks - Geometric shapes. Familiarize oneself
with the different shapes, their relations & proportions.
Rotate them, understand symmetry. A tool to learn & practice
fractions. |
Buzzing
with Shapes - 2 player game (Practice with 1).
Be the first to fill a row, column or diagonal. Click spinner
& it will tell you what sided figure you need to find. |
Cannon
Math - Fun game where students explore the idea
of angles & force. Sounds complicated, but is for second,
third & fourth graders. Mixes simple addition. Try it! |
Tessellation
Exploration - Several activities to explore tessellations.
Start by putting people of the town in a row & move on to
houses, trees, etc. At the bottom there are more games. |

Pentominoes
- A pentomino is a geometric shape formed by adjoining five
squares with one another edge to edge. There are twelve unique
ways to do this (not counting rotations and reflections).
Those twelve pieces are pictured here and make up the "classic"
set of pentominoes. Traditionally each piece is named using
the letter of the alphabet which most closely resembles its
shape. More

Perimeter
Activity - Computers shows a shape on grid paper
& will ask you what the perimeter of the shape is. It
does it by units only. |
Area
Activity - Computer shows a shape on grid paper
& will ask you what the area of the shape is. It does
it by units only. |
Shape
Space Measures - Upper elementary& middle
school geometry activities. Angles, Grids, shapes & transformation.
|
Geometry
Workshop - Shape recognition, features of polygons,
slides, flips, turns, angles, triangles, perimeter & area. |
Feed
the Bug - Great practice for understanding coordinates.
Computer gives you coordinates like (-3, 5) & you have
to find them.
